UCNJ Welcomes Coach Dovlet Bayryyev as Head Coach of Women’s Soccer
Cranford - UCNJ is proud to welcome Coach Dovlet Bayryyev as the new Head Coach of the UCNJ Women’s Soccer Team this upcoming season.
Born and raised in Turkmenistan, Coach Dovlet found his passion for soccer early in life, playing for a local club and developing a strong foundation in the sport’s fundamentals. At the age of fifteen, he moved to New York City, where he continued his soccer journey—first at the high school level, and later collegiately at Baruch College. A key contributor for Baruch’s men’s soccer team, he helped lead the program to two CUNYAC championships and multiple NCAA tournament appearances.
Remaining actively involved in the sport, Coach Dovlet competed in amateur leagues throughout New York and New Jersey. In 2020, he transitioned to coaching, taking on roles at both the middle school and high school levels, including positions at Hudson Catholic Regional High School and Beloved Community Charter School in Jersey City. In addition, he has coached several youth teams across the tri-state area, further developing his approach to player mentorship and building strong relationships within the soccer world.
Coach Dovlet brings a holistic philosophy to the UCNJ program—one that prioritizes not only technical and tactical development, but also character, teamwork, and academic success.
As he prepares to lead the Owls into the upcoming season, Coach Dovlet is focused on building a united and inspiring program—on and off the field. The entire UCNJ community is excited to see the women’s soccer program thrive under his leadership.
