Owls Soaring to Start Season
Cranford, NJ:
The Owls are off to a soaring start to begin their 2024 Fall Campaign. We had 6 titles kick off this past week.
EA FC 25:
This semester we have returning sophomore Sebastian Jaramillo returning to represent the Owls. Sebastian won his opening match of the season against Harrisburg Area Community College 2-1. The first match was won by UCNJ 4-2, the second match was won by HACC 5-4, and the rubber match was won by UCNJ 4-2. Sebastian will next take on Bergen Community College on October 7th.
Fortnite No Build:
The Fortnite team started the season with a 2-0 win against SUNY: Onondaga. The Owls won the first match 22-2 and the second match 18-1. The Fortnite team will next take one Bergen Community College on October 7th.
Overwatch:
The new look overwatch team got off to a rocky start losing their opening match to St. Louis Community College 3-0. The Overwatch team will take flight again on October 9th as they take on SUNY: Onondaga and look to get into the win column.
Call of Duty Gunfight:
Returning Call of Duty National Champion Paulo Matias returns to help lead the new look Call of Duty team into competition this season. The Owls opened their season against Bevill State Community College with a 3-0 win, the matches went as followed UCNJ 6-3, UCNJ 6-2, UCNJ 6-1. Their second match of the double header was against Guilford Technical Community College in which the Owls won 3-0, the matches went as followed UCNJ 6-2, UCNJ 6-1, UCNJ 6-0. The Owls are back in action on October 3rd against Terra State Community College and Heartland Community College.
Mario Kart 1 vs 1:
Santiago Puerto returns to the Owls for his sophomore season. A member of our 4v4 team last season, Santi comes in as team captain this season. Santi opened the season with two 4-1 wins against Gogebic Community College and Bergen Community College. UCNJ is back in action on October 10th against Harrisburg Area Community College and Terra State Community College.
Rocket League:
The UCNJ Owls Rocket League team won a nail biter for the first game of the season. They defeated their opponent Guilford Technical Community College by a score of 3-2. Each team alternated wins with the Owls taking the decisive game 5 to take the series. The Owls are back in action on October 11th against Lackawanna College and Camden County College.
