Union College Owls Esports Soar to New Heights in NJCAAE Playoff Action this Past Weekend. 

Call of Duty Gunfight: 

To start the weekend, we had our Call of Duty Gunfight squad of Saul (lolnotsofunny19) Tambonero and Sean (Thorty) Thornton fall to the Cougars of Highland Community College by a score of 3-0. Congratulations to the Call of Duty team on reaching the NJCAAE Playoffs. 

Valorant:  

The Union College Valorant Team won by way of Forfeit against Bryant Stratton College of Wisconsin. The team led by captain Javier (Moldy) Rodriguez will move directly into quarterfinal action this upcoming weekend. The rest of the squad consists of Oscar (Krispy) Alverez, Anthony (ACExCHERRY) Escobar, Kevin (Puncake) Gomes, Bryan (zurgalor) Jaimes, Kevin (Angel7576) Loureiro, Israel (Fozza) Oluwatola, and Anthony (Koolaidlan) Stoica. 

 Overwatch: 

The Union College Overwatch Team won by a score of 3-0 against familiar foe the Bulldogs of Bergen County Community College. The team led by captain Oscar (Krispy) Alverez will move on to quarterfinal action this upcoming weekend. The rest of the squad consists of, Kevin (Puncake) Gomes, Kevin (Angel7576) Loureiro, Jake (Chubs) Castro, Lucas (Lvcas) Chudoba, and Alexander (Tuebz) Garcia. 

 Mario Kart: 

All three of Union College’s Mario Kart Team has punched their ticket to the NJCAAE Quarterfinals. Captain Ian (ianxl__) Friedman won his match against Florida Gateway College 4-1. Valdon R (Wave818) Daniel III won his match against Northwest College 4-0. Sean (Thorty) Thornton won his match against Northeast State Community College 4-2. All three racers will be back in action this weekend. 

NBA 2K 

In the final playoff match of the weekend, we had our very own Jake (Chubs) Castro win his NJCAAE Semifinals matchup against Sarzzio of Bryant & Stratton College of Wisconsin. Jake won his best of three series by winning the first game 54-48 and the second game 64-38. Jake will now move on to play in the NJCAAE National Finals this weekend.
