Men's Basketball Starting the Year Off With a Win

Welcome Back Men's Basketball! In their first game back since winter break, our Union County College Owls bring home a win from Middlesex Community College. At one point in the second half, Union held an impressive lead of almost 30 points. Middlesex proved a competitive team and fought back hard swinging the momentum back in their favor. Strong defense kept Union County in control and earned the victory at the final buzzer.

Ibn Lynn led the team's offense with a very impressive 28 point game. Amir and Shyhiem kept that offensive pressure on with 19 and 18 points respectively. Not to be kept down, Stephon and Isiah each put up 11 and 10 points. Newcomer Christopher Darcelin added 6 more points to the win.

Stephon helped keep the pressure up by spreading the ball with a team high 13 assists. When Middlesex started bringing the pressure back, Shyheim helped slow their attack with 5 blocks and 10 rebounds to keep Union County College on top.

This was definitely a sign that the Men's Basketball team is looking to impress in the second half of the season.
