Patrick Murray is the 2023 Region XIX Golf Champion.
Freshman golfer Patrick Murray won his third straight golf tournament and none bigger than this one. Murray fired two solid rounds of 80 and won the 2023 Region XIX Tournament by 5 strokes. The Tournament was held at Ashbrook Golf Course in Scotch Plains on May 15 and 16. Murray earned a spot at the NJCAA National Golf Championship which will be held in Chautauqua, New York from June 5 through June 9. Sophomores Michael LoManto and Jake Krawczyk also golfed for Union as did Freshman Jacob Swan. Union finished in 5th place overall in the 8-team field. Coach Postiglione is looking forward to the National Golf Tournament where he is hopeful Murray can finish as an All-American. Coach is also excited for what is looking like a promising 2023-2024 Owl Golf Team.
