PARAMUS, NJ – The UCC Baseball team suffered a hard-fought setback at Bergen Community College in conference play by a final score of 13-9.
The Owls (10-20, 3-8) entered the bottom of the ninth trailing 13-2, but the Owls never quit as they pushed across seven runs in a near epic comeback in Paramus.
Brandon Wreckler paced the offense with three RBIs in the defeat. Richard Bianchi picked up a multi-hit game while six other Owls reached base safely at least twice. Seven Owls also tallied at least one RBI in the setback.
UCC will be back in action this Thursday with another matchup against the Sussex County Skylanders. First pitch at Skylands Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m.
