GEORGETOWN, DE – UCC Baseball were edged by Delaware Tech by a score of 7-3 in Georgetown.
The Owls (11-23, 3-10) fell behind early and were not able to make up the ground in a tough setback against the Hawks. James Liburd led the Owls with two hits, including a double. Raymond Orta brought in a RBI with a single to bring home Richard Bianchi in the top of the fourth inning.
Javier Alfonso and Quincy Bryant provided seven innings of quality relief out of the bullpen for the Owls. The duo combined to allow just two hits while striking out four Hawks hitters in their strong appearances.
UCC will be back in action tomorrow on the road in a conference contest at Ocean County College. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Toms River.
