Coach Marc Postiglione stands as one of the most senior and experienced members of the UCNJ Athletics coaching staff. His long-standing commitment to both the college and the sport of golf has made a lasting impact on the program. Originally joining Union College of Union County, NJ in 2002 as the Assistant Golf Coach, Coach Marc was promoted to Head Golf Coach in 2019 — a decision that has paid tremendous dividends for the Owls.

Under his leadership, the golf program has reached new levels of competitiveness and success. In 2021, he guided the team to a strong second-place finish at the Region XIX Tournament. More recently, Coach Marc was instrumental in the incredible success of standout golfer Patrick Murray, who delivered back-to-back championship seasons in 2023 and 2024. Murray earned titles as a two-time GSAC and Region XIX Champion, and achieved national recognition with All-American honors at the NJCAA National Championships in Chautauqua, New York. In 2024, Murray capped off his career by tying for 6th place overall and earning 2nd Team All-American honors — a proud moment for both player and coach.

Beyond his work on the green, Coach Postiglione is a dedicated educator. He serves as an Associate Professor in the Social Science, Business, and History Division at UCNJ and is the coordinator of the Sport Management Program. In this role, he actively mentors students, including many student-athletes, helping them map out academic paths and career goals in the sports industry. His passion for teaching and commitment to student success is evident in the growing number of athletes pursuing degrees in Sport Management under his guidance.

Coach Marc is a proud alumnus of Long Island University in Brooklyn, where he earned a four-year scholarship to compete as a collegiate golfer for the LIU Sharks. His personal experiences as a student-athlete continue to inform his coaching philosophy and academic mentorship.

Currently, Coach Postiglione resides in Plainfield, New Jersey with his wife, Sarah, and their three children. His dedication to family, the game of golf, and the mission of UCNJ Athletics make him an invaluable leader and role model within the Owl community.
