Captains Lift Owls Over Bulldogs; Clinching Spot in Conference Playoff

Paramus, NJ – The Owls took a Friday flight north to Bergen County Community College, to take on the Bulldogs for their last conference dual of the regular season.
Captains took charge for the Owls in this one, Salvatore Randazzo (133) got the squad on the scoreboard with a dominant fall in the second period. Then a couple matches later, Griffin Jones (157) followed suit, packing up his opponent for a trip to pin city.
Sophomore, Christian Ramos (174), was another highlight of the night, managing a major decision victory in his season debut for our winged warriors.
UCNJ would go to defeat Bergen by the final score of 31-21. The win moves the Owls to 2-2 against Conference opponents and clinches the 3rd seed going into the GSAC Playoffs.
The Owls also had a match-up with Division II Felician University, where they fell to a final score of 35-18.
The Wrestling Owls will be back in action for their last home competition of the season, as they host Montclair State for Sophomore Night this Thursday, January 30th at 7PM in the Owls Nest!
